Responsible Service of Alcohol training became mandatory in Queensland on the 1st January 2009 for any member of staff involved in the service or supply of liquor at the premises. In 2011 over 75% of the Queensland industry successfully completing their RSA qualification online. 

The Responsible Service of Gambling training became mandatory in Queensland on the 1st October 2010 for all people who carry out gaming duties or gaming tasks within a licensed club or hotel.
